Sin in money

A Poem about greed

Work long hours of the night to survive
Only to buy a strong car you can drive
thrive to become the richest on the block
shock and overcome, to be the head of the flock
drop the ball and roll the dice
win the lotto, now don’t worry about the price
energetic to spend all that you win
sin, sin, sin, and sin
begin to run low on dough, wondering where it went
contemplate and grow, realize it was time spent
chasing false dreams and hope along the way
embracing a loss with too much play
Now you’re on your knees asking what went wrong
Long hours wasting what could have made others strong
Giving was the key to your inner happiness
Now you’re loss and distant from bliss.
